Rando-Trains du Bocq
Over hills and dales, this 10 km hike with French commentary between Spontin and Bauche will introduce you to the splendid wooded valley of Bocq and its mythical railway. Return from Bauche to Spontin in a “vintage” railcar from the 1950s.

- Length of walk : 10 km (13 km effort), positive difference in altitude of 184 m, with dirt tracks (very little tarmac) and two tricky steep sections.
Caution ! Possibility of mud in wet weather. - Trail commentary : French.
- What to bring : Walking shoes, picnic and drink.
- Departure and arrival point : Spontin station (Chaussée de Dinant, 3, 5530 Spontin). There is ample free parking in front of the station.
Type of trains : your journey will take place on one of our trains, the most frequent of which are :- railcar 4602 ;
- railcar 4506 ;
- the M1 type coaches pulled by the 5205 and 5183 locomotives.
- WC : Our trains are not equipped with toilets. However, toilets are available free of charge at Spontin station.
- Pet-friendly : Dogs are welcome free of charge on board our trains, provided they are kept on a lead.
- Route : As part of the “Rando-Train du Bocq”, you will only make part of the journey by train (Bauche – Spontin). The diagram of line 128 (Chemin de Fer du Bocq) is shown –> HERE

- Timetable :
- Welcome from 11:30 a.m. at Spontin station : drink offered (picnic not provided) ;
- Start of the walk : 12:00 p.m. ;
- Arrival at Bauche : around 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. ;
- Boarding the railcar : 4:00 p.m. ;
- Arrival at Spontin : 4:30 p.m.
Reservations must be made no later than the Friday before the walk. Can be cancelled by the organiser if too few hikers sign up (max. number of hikers : 20).
