Bocq Gourmand of the Solstice 2026

Pick-up at Spontin station :

– Saturday 20 June 2026 between 12.45 pm and 1.00 pm or between 6.45 pm and 7.00 pm

– Sunday 21 June 2026 between 12.45 pm and 1.00 pm

• The Bocq Gourmand du Solstice takes place on one of Belgium’s most picturesque routes, in the heart of the Bocq valley, and lasts around 3 hours.

• There are several stops along the way.

• Throughout the journey, you will be served a 3-course bistronomic meal.

• The train is air-conditioned. So there’s no risk of getting too hot or too cold !

• The train departs from and arrives at Spontin station (Chaussée de Dinant, 3, 5530, Spontin), where there is ample free parking.

• You will travel on the train usually made up as follows (changes to the train composition are always possible) :

  • Locomotive 5183

  • Generator car

  • MITROPA restaurant carriage

  • HALBERTSTADT bar car

  • Locomotive 5205

• Our trains are not equipped with toilets. However, toilets are available at Spontin station.

• Accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM) : our trains date from the 1930s to the 1960s, a period when transport access for PRMs was not as developed as it is today. However, we have installed mobile access ramps on most of our trains.

  The Chemin de Fer du Bocq is an organisation of the non-profit association “Patrimoine Ferroviaire et Tourisme – Toerisme Spoorweg en Patrimonium (PFT-TSP)”.

Salmon tartare with mango, fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes and lemon cream cheese

Chicken supreme, “Sambre et Meuse” sauce, tagliatelle and green asparagus

Brussels waffle with assorted toppings

Walloon beef tartare “Bocquillon”, white truffle oil, confit tomatoes, spring onions, rocket and pine nuts

Fish casserole with green curry, coconut milk, steamed vegetables and rice

Sunday 21 June Lunch Menu (1.00 pm)

Fish selection: salmon trout, salmon rillette and a small fresh salad

Belgian pork tenderloin, reduced meat jus, roasted seasonal vegetables and potato rösti

Apple tart served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

• Reservations required for this event !

• Due to the configuration of our restaurant car (tables of 2 or 4 people), registrations are mainly made by groups of 2 or multiples of 2 participants.
  If all our 2-person tables are booked, it is possible that 2 separate registrations will be placed at the same 4-person table !

• The minimum number is 28 people and the maximum is 42 people.
  If we have fewer than 28 people, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion and refund any bookings already made !
