A rail cruise on the rails of Mediterranean gourmet delights… in the heart of the Bocq valley!
Freshness, aromas, flavours and pleasures for all the senses: a breath of fresh air from the South will be blowing over your plate!
Come and enjoy a buffet that smells of summer, the sea and holidays on board our 1960s-style restaurant train (air-conditioned carriages).

Welcome at Spontin station: between 12:00 and 12:30.

Le Bocq Gourmand – Saveurs du Sud takes place on one of Belgium’s most picturesque railway lines, in the heart of the Bocq Valley, and lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Several stops are planned during the journey.

Throughout the journey, a high-quality cold buffet featuring the aromas and flavours of the South will be served.

The train is air-conditioned, so you won’t be too hot or too cold!

Please note: depending on the work in progress on the Chemin de Fer du Bocq line, the itinerary may be modified without changing the total duration of the journey or the service.

The train departs from and arrives at Spontin station (Chaussée de Dinant, 3, 5530, Spontin), where you will find a large free car park.

Your journey will take place in the train usually composed as shown below (changes to the train composition are always possible): Locomotive 5183 – Generator van – MITROPA restaurant car – HALBERTSTADT bar car – Locomotive 5205

Our trains are not equipped with toilets. However, toilets are available at Spontin station.

Accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM): our trains date from the 1930s to the 1960s, a period when transport access for PRM was not as developed as it is today. However, we have installed mobile access ramps on most of our trains. Contact us for more information: [email protected]

The ‘Soleil du Sud’ cold buffet, offering (for example): a selection of meats, fish or shellfish, a variety of salads, starchy foods and fresh fruit;

This event is only accessible with a prior reservation.

Due to the configuration of our dining car (tables for 2 or 4 people), reservations are mainly made for groups of 2 people or multiples of 2.

If all tables for 2 are full, it is possible that two separate reservations will be grouped together at the same table for 4.

If several reservations involve an odd number of participants, it is possible that people from different reservations will be grouped together at the same table.

The number of participants is between 28 and 42 people. If the minimum number of 28 participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion and refund all reservations already made.
