Following major works planned on the Chemin de fer du Bocq, the 2024 rail festival will take place on our Saint Ghislain site.
Over the course of 3 days, you will be able to discover our Saint Ghislain site, take part in numerous activities and take a ride on a vintage train along the region’s industrial lines (paying activity).
The perfect activity for train enthusiasts, those nostalgic for trains of years gone by and anyone looking for an exceptional train journey.

Note: this activity is organised by “Patrimoine Ferroviaire et Tourisme – Toerisme en SpoorPatrimonium” (PFT-TSP asbl) with the support of DB Cargo, Infrabel, SNCB Trainworld Heritage, Certus and Septem.

Access to the Saint Ghislain site and to all activities on the site is FREE
The following activities are offered free of charge from 10.00 to 17.00:
Free activities :
- exhibition of locomotives, carriages and wagons from the PFT’s heritage
- exhibition of locomotives and modern carriages (bar-disco carriages, etc.)
- model railway exhibition
- access to the PFT shop
- railway company stands
Activities for which a charge is made :
- Train journeys are subject to a charge (see specific tab)
- Snacks
- Fine dining in the SNCB restaurant car and music in the Disco car with a DJ
Remarks: some activities are difficult to access for PRMs.

Traffic on line 100 is the best it’s been for twenty years, and passenger trains will be running for the first time on the renovated line 242!

Your ticket entitles you to unlimited access to the trains of the day shown on your ticket.
Train composition: Framed train: HLD 62 and/or 77 + 3 M4 coaches + 5519
Itinerary:
- Departure from Saint-Ghislain SNCB station to line 100
- Passage through Tertre station
- Passage over the metal bridge over the canal to Villerot.
- The train then departs in the opposite direction towards the Idea junction and the former line 242 towards Google and the Port de Baudour.
- Stop and explanations on the site
- Return to Tertre and Saint-Ghislain.
